Frequently Asked Questions
You must dress appropriately for the weather and for interaction with the ponies. Suitable footwear must be worn; wellington boots, sturdy shoes or boots with a hard sole and small heel are acceptable. For safety reasons no open toe shoes will be allowed in close vicinity of the ponies.
If you have booked a pony ride package then long trousers should be worn, with weatherproof trousers and gloves encouraged depending on the weather at the time of the event as some areas are open to the elements.
Please avoid wearing any jewellery that could be a hazard, such as necklaces, rings, or earrings (small studs are acceptable).
If you have selected the pony ride package as part of your party, we will provide the appropriate safety helmets for all riders. You are welcome to bring your own riding hat, but this will need to be checked by staff before the pony is mounted.
A minimum of 3 supervising adults over the age of 18 must attend per 15 children, but more are welcome of course. These adults are responsible for the children at all times and must ensure they follow the behaviour and safety expectations.
We will provide an undercover area for the party, but we ask that attendees do dress for the weather in warm coats if it’s chilly or rainy. If you have booked a pony ride package, please be aware that this activity may be conducted outdoors.
To avoid risk to child or pony we reserve the right to reschedule sessions due to extreme weather conditions. In this instance we will do our best to find a mutually acceptable alternative date.
Ponies are NOT to be fed during any event. We take no responsibility for any injury sustained because of safety instructions not being followed.
Although we love all animals, we ask that all dogs and other animals are kept away from the event. However, assistance dogs will be permitted near to the pony interaction area.
Our Pony Parties are bookable in 2-hour slots. Party organisers are allowed to turn up 30 minutes prior to their allocated time slot to prepare for the festivities. Party guests need to report to Reception/ Café 10 minutes for the start.
Yes, we have a full suite of toilets available including disabled toilets, and we request all hand washing is undertaken here after interacting with the ponies and before consuming any food.
We have a large car park with disabled parking if required. Parking is free.
We welcome individuals of all abilities and will make accommodations wherever possible to include accessible experiences for all where the site and the event allows. Please contact us to discuss any specific requirements.
We have easy access to our Café and undercover areas from the car park. The terrain towards the Keysoe Cuddle Therapy Ponies stable area can be bumpy and muddy, and the event area could be on the grass.
We are located just off the B660, Keysoe International is easily accessible from the A6, A421 and the A1. Please use: Keysoe International, MK44 2JP in your satnav.
